Rational Design of Fluorescent/Colorimetric Chemosensors for Detecting Transition Metal Ions by Varying Functional Groups

In recent decades, concerns about increasing biological and environmental contamination have necessitated the development of chemosensors with high selectivity, sensitivity, cost-effectiveness. principle, sensing performance can be affected by functional group(s) receptor, charge metal ion(s), electron configuration molecule(s)e ion(s). Fine controlling substituents influence density receptor to enhance binding affinity ions, which is an effective way improve photophysical properties sensors. This review explores effect group modification on various represented Pt(dithiolene)-based complexes (2012–2021). Then, recently developed Schiff base (2014–2021) are discussed. The a good platform for due facile synthesis organic structures (aldehyde or ketone groups primary amine derivatives). discussion focuses detection type, physicochemical optical properties, applications these chemosensors.
